An airport concierge service, often shortened to airport concierge, is a paid, personal service in which a trained greeter meets you at the airport and takes you through check-in, security, immigration, baggage and the lounge, so you spend less time in queues and less time working out where to go. It is also sold as airport meet and greet services or meet and assist.
Airport traffic is still growing. ACI World estimates that airports handled 9.8 billion passengers in 2025, so more travelers are sharing the same checkpoints.
airssist is a booking platform for airport concierge services, with Meet & Greet at more than 1,950 airports. Anyone can book: you do not need a premium ticket, loyalty status or a membership.

What an Airport Concierge Does: Airport Greeter Service for Arrival, Departure and Transit
What you get depends on the airport, the package and whether you arrive, depart or connect. The core is Meet & Greet, which works like this.
Airport Meet and Greet Services on Arrival
- A greeter meets you at the aircraft door or the end of the air bridge, holding a name board.
- They speed you through immigration, security and customs formalities.
- A porter handles your bags at the baggage reclaim, where porter help is part of the package.
- A team member guides you to your driver, your family, or a taxi outside.
Airport Meet and Greet Services on Departure
- A greeter and porter meet you at the curb.
- You are guided through check-in, immigration, security and customs.
- Lounge access is available at some airports, sometimes at an extra cost.
- You are guided to the gate before boarding.
Airport Meet and Greet Services for Transit and Connecting Flights
- A greeter meets you at the arrival gate and takes you to the transfer desk and security.
- They monitor your connecting flight and tell you when to move.
- A buggy or terminal transfer takes you to the next gate where the airport allows it.
Whether fast track is included depends on the package. It can reduce waiting at the checkpoints it covers, but it does not guarantee a waiting time or remove required security, immigration or customs checks.
Airport Concierge Service Types: Meet and Greet, Fast Track, VIP Terminal and Chauffeur
| Service | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Meet & Greet | A personal greeter through all airport formalities | Most travelers, families, tight connections |
| Fast Track | Priority lanes for security, immigration and check-in | Busy airports and tight schedules |
| VIP Terminal (private lounge) | A private terminal away from the main building, at select airports | Privacy, executives, VIPs |
| Chauffeur and limo | Airport, full-day and in-city transfers, plus tarmac transfers | Door-to-door travel |
| Business solutions | Corporate accounts and booking support for companies | Business travelers and travel managers |
Who Needs an Airport Concierge Service: Business, Family, Older and Reduced-Mobility Travelers
Anyone who wants fewer decisions and less waiting in an unfamiliar or crowded airport, on domestic and international flights alike. These groups use it most.
- Business travelers. Fast-tracked formalities, a greeter who knows the terminal, and corporate accounts with a dedicated account manager. Companies can also arrange a corporate meet and greet service.
- First-time and international travelers. Immigration and customs forms are easier with someone beside you, and the greeter tells you what to have ready.
- Families. One person manages the process while you look after the children and bags. See family travel assistance at airports.
- Older travelers. Walking distances in large airports are long. A greeter, a porter and a buggy transfer where available make the journey calmer. See airport elderly assistance.
- Travelers with reduced mobility. Add wheelchair assistance when you book, and see special assistance at airports and the guide for passengers with reduced mobility. In the UK, the Civil Aviation Authority says you can request free special assistance when you book or at least 48 hours before departure. A private concierge is an extra layer: one person who stays with you for the whole journey.
- Unaccompanied children. Airlines set their own rules for minors, so contact the airssist team before booking.
VIP Airport Concierge Services: Private Terminals, CIP Lounges and Executive Meeting Rooms
VIP airport service goes beyond a personal greeter. At a VIP terminal you enter through a private entrance, clear private security and immigration, and are driven to the aircraft without joining public queues. VIP terminals exist at select airports only.
- VIP and CIP are different tiers. VIP usually means heads of state, royalty and public figures. CIP (commercially important person) covers executives, high-net-worth travelers and corporate clients, and most private terminal bookings on airssist fall under CIP.
- Meeting rooms. Executives can book meeting rooms inside VIP terminals from a few hours ahead, whether or not they are flying.
- No VIP terminal at your airport? Meet & Greet is available at airports that do not have one.

Airport Concierge Service Cost: What Affects the Price and How to Save
How much does airport concierge cost? It depends on the airport, the service level and the size of your group, and the price of each package is shown before you pay on airssist.
| What changes the price | Why |
|---|---|
| Airport | Large hubs and small regional airports are priced differently |
| Service level | A VIP terminal usually costs more than Meet & Greet |
| Arrival, departure or transit | Each journey involves different steps and staff |
| Group size | Prices depend on the number of passengers |
| Add-ons | Porter, wheelchair assistance, buggy, lounge access and chauffeur transfers are priced separately where they are not in the package |
To keep the cost down, book only what you need: if queues are your only concern, fast track alone may cost less than a full package.
