Travel Sales Director

To lead and improve our sales department, we are looking for a seasoned and motivated travel sales director. In your role as Travel Sales Director, you will be in charge of developing and carrying out the agency’s sales plan, increasing revenue, and managing the sales force. Job Description & Responsibilities – Travel Sales Director
  • Development of Sales tactics: To propel company expansion and meet financial goals, develop and execute creative sales tactics. To remain competitive, examine market developments and make necessary strategy adjustments.
  • Team Management & Leadership: Oversee and guide a productive sales force by establishing clear goals, offering frequent coaching, and guaranteeing professional growth. Encourage a culture of results-oriented performance and accountability.
  • Client relationship management is the process of establishing and preserving solid bonds with important clients, both current and potential, while making sure their demands are satisfied. Ensure enduring relationships by serving as the main point of contact for important accounts.
  • Business Development: Find and seize new business prospects, such as corporate clients, tour operators, travel agencies, and other strategic alliances. Increase the agency’s clientele and market presence.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track and evaluate sales figures, patterns, and projections. Report to senior management on a regular basis, pointing out problems and opportunities and suggesting ways to increase sales.
  • Cooperation Between Departments: Collaborate closely with the product, marketing, and operations teams to make sure that sales targets line up with the overarching business objectives. Work together to develop new product offers, marketing plans, and service enhancements.
  • Budget and Revenue Management: Create and oversee the sales budget, making sure that resources are used efficiently to achieve revenue targets. To stay on course, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make required strategy adjustments.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of changes in the market, industry trends, and rivalry. To guarantee that the agency keeps a competitive advantage in the travel industry, offer strategic insights.

    Requirements for Travel Sales Director Candidate:
    • Experience: At least seven years of sales experience in the travel or hospitality sector, with three of those years spent in a director or leadership capacity.
    • Proven Sales Success: A history of regularly hitting or surpassing sales goals combined with a solid grasp of the dynamics of the travel industry and client demands.
    • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage, inspire, and lead a sales team with an emphasis on achieving outcomes and cultivating a team atmosphere.
    • Outstanding Interaction: strong presenting, negotiating, and interpersonal abilities. the capacity to establish connections with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Strategic Thinker: Skilled in creating and carrying out sales plans, handling intricate transactions, and modifying strategies in response to market conditions.
    • Analytical Skills: Skilled in forecasting, analysing sales data, and tracking performance with CRM and sales management tools.
    • Customer-Focused: Enthusiasm for providing exceptional cutomer service and establishing enduring, fruitful connections with customers.
    • Knowledge of the Travel Industry: It is crucial to have a thorough understanding of the travel industry, including its trends, goods, services, and major players.
