Istanbul Airport, officially known as İstanbul Havalimanı, is the main international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. It opened in 2018 and has rapidly grown to become one of the busiest airports in the world. The airport is located on the Black Sea coast on the European side of Istanbul, about 20 miles north of the city center.
Terminals :
Terminal 1: This is the main international terminal, handling the majority of international flights. It is a massive, state-of-the-art facility with an area of over 1.4 million square meters. Terminal 2: This terminal primarily serves domestic flights within Turkey. It is connected to Terminal 1 by an underground tunnel system. Terminal 3: This terminal is dedicated to general aviation, private jets, and business aviation. It has its own customs and immigration facilities. Terminal 4: The newest terminal, Terminal 4 opened in 2021. It is designed to handle overflow from the other terminals and can accommodate an additional 30 million passengers per year.
